WTCA Partners with Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation to Provide Qigong Classes

Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy is pleased to announce a new partnership with Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation to provide Qigong classes at their rehabilitation facility in Mount Pleasent, Wisconsin.

Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation’s joint owner, Elizabeth Olley, approached Sifu Ray Gates to provide a Tai Chi program for their patients and surrounding community. After some demonstrations and discussion about possible approaches, it was agreed that provide qigong classes would be the most effective and accessible option for Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation’s needs.

Sifu Ray Gates will be teaching the Shi Ba Shi qigong set as part of a six-week, one hour per session, series of classes, held in two blocks during 2026: February 18 to March 26, and October 8 to November 11. A physical therapist himself, Gates feels this qigong set will be a great addition to the therapies and programs offered at Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation. “The Shi Ba Shi qigong set is a great qigong set because it provides a series of increasingly challenging movements which incorporate whole body movements with focussed breathing techniques,” Gates said. “Not only is it relaxing; it is a gentle full body workout focusing on balance, coordination, and positional awareness, making it perfect for the types of conditions patients of Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation typically present with.”

WTCA offers a variety of Tai Chi and Qigong classes through its Corporate and Community Programs, and is pleased to be able to provide this service to Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation. “We’re excited to be partnering with Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation and bringing qigong to the rehab setting,” Gates said.

Classes are open to the general public as well as existing and new patients of Neuro Advantage Rehabilitation, and further details can be found through their website: https://www.neuroadvantagerehab.com or calling 262-260-8451.
