Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy has recently been listed as part of the Safe Space Alliance.

The Safe Space Alliance is a LGBTQIA+ led non-profit organization which aims to help
people identify, navigate, and create safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ communities
worldwide. Organizations listed with Safe Space Alliance are recognized as safe spaces which welcome and support LGBTQI+ communities without tolerance of violence, bullying, or hate speech.

“Tai Chi and Qigong is for everyone, and at Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy, we want to make sure everyone in our diverse community feels they can participate in a safe, supportive environment,” said Sifu Ray Gates. “Now more than ever, it’s essential that organizations like ours make it known that our doors are open to all, and we value anyone who wants to learn Tai Chi and Qigong.”

The new listing with Safe Space Alliance aligns with Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy’s “Tai Chi for All” inclusion policy, which aims to ensure that everyone from diverse sociodemographic backgrounds feels they can gain the benefits from learning Tai Chi and Qigong. “While this initiative specifically supports LGBTQIA+ communities, we want to make sure that people from all diverse backgrounds know they will be safe and supported to come and learn with us,” Gates said.
