Competition Terms and Conditions

Introduction

By participating in the competition you are agreeing to these competition terms and conditions. The competition is being run by Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy.

Eligibility to Enter

The competition is open to entrants over 18 years of age. Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy employees, associates current and past students are excluded from the draw.

To submit a valid entry, you must:

  1. Answer “Yes” to the question, “Are you submitting an entry to our competition?”; and
  2. Provide a response in 25 words or less in the space provided under the heading, “In 25 words or less, state why you want to learn Tai Chi?”

Failure to meet these or any other conditions will automatically invalidate your entry.

By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you. 

There is a limit of one entry per person and the competition is completely free to enter.

Entries must be received no later than Friday March 31, 2023.

The Prizes

Each winning prize will consist of one free Term of Beginner Tai Chi classes, commencing on the first day of classes for a specific location. This will be either Tuesday April 18, 2023, Thursday April 20, 2023, or Saturday April 22, 2023, depending on the location.

One prize will be awarded per location, for a total of five prizes. The prize for one location may not be transferred to another location. Only one prize may be claimed per person.

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided.

We reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control require doing so.

Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy’s decision on any aspect of the competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner Announcement

The winners will be chosen at random and notified via the email address provided on Tuesday April 4, 2023.

Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy will make two attempts to contact the winners via email.

If the winner does not respond to the emails informing them of their win within 7 days of the second email, they forfeit their right to the prize, and Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy reserves the right to select and notify a new winner.

Delivery of the Prize

The winner will allow 14 days for the prize to be delivered, otherwise alternative collection or delivery arrangements can be made through mutual agreement.

Data Protection and Publicity

You agree that any personal information that you provide when entering the competition will be used by Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy for the purposes of administering the competition and for the other purposes as specified in our Privacy Policy.

All entrants may request information on the winning participant by emailing rayg@wisonsintaichiacademy.com.

If requested by Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy, the winner agrees to release their first name and the location they registered at to any other competition participants.

The winner’s first name and location will be announced on Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy’s website and social media channels.

Limitation of Liability

Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of participating in the competition or being selected for a prize.

General

Wisconsin Tai Chi Academy reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel the competition or amend these terms and conditions.
